NXT Takeover Phoenix PREDICTIONS

Just a quick post to share my predictions for Takeover: Phoenix. As always, its going to be a great show for sure. Let me know if you agree or disagree with my picks!

Kassius Ohno vs Matt Riddle

They met previously at the last Takeover, where Riddle got a quick victory. I can see Riddle taking this and move onto the NA Title.

WINNER - Matt Riddle

The Undisputed Era vs War Raiders (NXT Tag Titles)

This is the match I am most excited for, both of these teams are on fire at the moment - and this will no doubt be a classic match. I am in the majority where I believe The Undisputed Era will go up to the main roster on the Raw after Wrestlemania. This makes me think they will keep the titles a little bit longer, maybe win this match with some sneaky tactics and lose them in the rematch at the next Takeover.

Ricochet vs Johnny Gargano (NXT North American Title)

This is going to be a phenomenal match for sure, but I can see Ricochet having quite a long reign with this title, and this feels more like a stop gap to keep Johnny out of the NXT Title picture for a bit longer.

WINNER - Ricochet

Bianca vs Shayna (NXT Womens Title)

I am a HUGE fan of Shayna (see my 2018 Awards post for more on that). I can see her taking this win, because I don’t believe this feud has got enough in it to make this a title change moment. And I don’t see Bianca as a champion yet.

WINNER - Shayna

Tomasso Ciampa vs Aleister Black (NXT Title)

I think Aleister is main roster bound VERY soon. So I think this will be his good bye match from NXT. I think Mr and Mrs Gargano will get involved and help Ciampa win. And then as NXT TV moves along, we see Johnny turn on Tomasso leading to one final match between them at the New Jersey Takeover before one of them heads to the main roster.
