On September the 6th 2018, my wife Sara gave birth to our second child - Ace. The whole pregnancy is different the second time around.

November 5th 2018. Not just Fireworks night, but also the final day of Rorys first ever half term. It’s been a tough old week, without having that afternoon break every day – but this was a night to have fun and be with family.

Hello Rory, One year ago today – your mother gave birth to you, and in that moment my life was changed forever.

So I think its time we talked about Toxic Masculinity, and how I am going to teach my children how to deal with it.

It was around 4am on the morning of August the 2nd, I could hear Sara pacing around the bedroom. I assumed she was getting ready for her dentist appointment she had that day … she outright stated “Babe, I think my waters have broke.” 

I recently saw a campaign started by Mind that focuses on finding your ‘Somewhere‘. This is the place that you visit to relax or calm down – somewhere that helps you get grounded.

When you talk to people about depression its hard to really get those feelings into words. It’s hard to tell someone who you no longer care about being alive without it sounding like you are suicidal. I was not suicidal. I had just let something fester for so long that it had grown without me knowing.
